Jungle Island Music Festival heads to Windmill Island for 2025 edition
Set to be held on May 2–4, the programming includes a dedicated bass stage by Unchained and 50+ DJs

After a successful debut on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island, Jungle Island Music Festival returns from May 2–4, 2025, with a brand new location on Windmill Island in Shanwei, Guangdong.
This year’s edition brings together over 50 DJs and more than 10 live acts for three days and two nights of electronic music, live performances, wellness sessions, and community activities—set against the natural backdrop of beaches, sea, and forest.
Just a bullet train ride away, Windmill Island offers a larger space and a new environment for Jungle Island to grow.
Organised by Studio 8.5, Looking Float, and Shanwei Cultural Association 汕尾市潮流文化協會, alongside other local collectives, the festival continues its focus on underground music and cross-border creative exchange.
“We hope that those who’ve made Hong Kong and Shenzhen home will join with the tourists from across China who have heard of the charms of this stunning location, to dance together from sunrise to sunset to sunrise again,” says Nikki Davies, the driving force behind the festival.
“We are looking forward to people travelling with friends and making new connections to create unforgettable magical moments to a soundtrack of their favourite acts from Hong Kong, some red hot new artists, and local DJ music masters,” she adds.

This year’s line-up is stacked, including the return of beloved Hong Kong bands like Shumking Mansion, The Ferals, and Warrior Monk.
Award-winning Shenzhen based underground outfit Unchained and Hong Kong fixtures Rolling bring a dedicated bass stage featuring headliners DJ Subp Yao and lyricist Dan Stezo.

The local line-up really shines as scene favourites like Just Bee, MMEE, Immuno and the S2 Collective are set to bring everything from reggae and dub through garage, breaks and drum'n'bass.
With beach hangs, local eats, art installations, watersports by day and dancefloor journeys by night, Jungle Island Music Festival is where the region’s underground collides with community spirit.
