The Mixmag Weekender unfolded across two nights in Jakarta, bringing a focused snapshot of regional and local electronic music to Le Cirque.

Running on January 30 and 31, the weekend made full use of the club’s 250-capacity layout in SCBD that boasts a Void Acoustics Air Motion system at the core and lighting that moved with the room.

Friday’s Mixmag Asia Presents made immediate use of that intimacy. Equalwho set things in motion with upbeat, feel-good selections that quickly drew people onto the floor. By midnight, Didi Han took over and pushed the room into a higher gear. Her set was direct and groove-focused, locking dancers in for two hours straight.

Saturday was for The Mixmag Lab Jakarta, marking Lab’s first stop in Asia for 2026. Latex opened with a live set that leaned into hypnotic, leftfield territory, gradually pulling the room together. The SALA crew followed with a run of high-energy tracks that steadily lifted the atmosphere (and the crowd’s hands). PNNY carried that momentum into the night with their infectious energy, before Archie closed with a playful, somewhat unpredictable set, weaving in some Madchester spirit with a ‘Fools Gold’ remix that hyped up dancers even more.

Both nights went beyond dancing and partying. The tracks pushed out in every set seem to have invited curiosity, nudging the crowds toward new sounds and perspectives. Exactly what you’d expect from a Mixmag Weekender.
