Hyperpop meets trance on nabii’s debut EP ‘Take Me Home’
The deeply raw & personal record is perfect for (crying on) the dancefloor
Korean-Australian artist, producer, and DJ nabii unveils their debut EP, ‘Take Me Home’, a raw blend of hyperpop and trance that radiates euphoria and raw emotion.
The project delves deep into vulnerability, threading together ethereal vocals and driving rhythms that evoke a powerful sense of catharsis.
"I lost myself in creating this project, and it's something for listeners to lose themselves in as well," says nabii. "It was a cathartic experience—a way to escape, transcend, and liberate myself from reality. I hope the sonic universe I’ve created is a safe space for listeners, where they can feel seen, heard, understood, or simply find a momentary escape."

The EP opens with an emotional ambient track, featuring poetic spoken word that sets the reflective tone. From there, it takes a sharp turn into more kinetic territory, with the trance-infused single ‘let go’ showcasing nabii’s skill in crafting bright, euphoric soundscapes.
The high energy and dynamic arpeggios that run through the tracklist give the project an electric pulse, perfect for those "lose-yourself-on-the-dance-floor" moments. We find trance is a genre that can be hard to get right, with producers often doing too much for the sake of it, but nabii seems to have found the blend that works effortlessly for her.

Our standout pick, ‘am i wasting time,’ closes the EP on a high, marrying hypnotic grooves with Charli XCX-esque vocals in a tear-streaked club anthem nabii describes as “crying on the dancefloor.” It's the kind of track that sticks with you long after the final beat fades, leaving you yearning for more from this emerging talent.
We recently featured nabii in our July edition of 'Artists Exciting Us in 2024', and this EP proves why.
