Planet Dragon sees Hong Kong and Seoul bass communities unite
Feed the Dragon and Turbo Planet come together for a series of two parties in April
A full-fledged UK bass affair takes place in Asia through an abridgement of mind and matter between Hong Kong’s Feed the Dragon and Planet Turbo Seoul. The collaboration will see two parties aimed at kindling emerging local scenes.
To kick things off, Planet Turbo will host Hong Kong bass purveyors Mengzy, DJ Fu, Justin Lim, Enry and new DJ duo S2 at Cakeshop Seoul on April 15. The following week, Planet Turbo’s crafty selectors Mike Shin, SeeSea, and Hyejin will head to Hong Kong as Feed the Dragon takes over Social Room.
Feed the Dragon recently launched as Hong Kong’s newest party crew who pride themselves on pushing all-sounds-UK, including, and certainly not limited to, UKG, speed garage, drum’n’bass and jungle. Their Korea-based counterpart Planet Turbo has been propelling the same musical ethos since 2021 through their Cakeshop residency, which started out on Sunday nights and featured artists like Jesse You, Salamanda and Mordecai.
