​Tropic City to mark 5th birthday with an unmissable anniversary party

Bangkok’s Tropic City bar celebrates its 5th year with a suitably joyful blend of music, drinks, and good eating.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 8, starting early and extending deep into the night with a carefully selected blend of high-level entertainment and mouth-watering sustenance. Heading the music bill, Singapore’s Darker Than Wax crew fly in with their signature subterranean sound, with DJs Dexter Colt and Daryl Knows representing the label with their distinct mix of across-the-board esoteric dance grooves. Cherished guest selectors from the Bangkok underground complete the line-up, with NK Chan, Mumsfilibaba, Issasha, and KOISH drafted in to help set the celebratory tone.

Alongside its good-time party atmosphere and on-point eclectic soundtrack, Tropic City is renowned for its top-quality drinks and elegantly blended cocktails. Taking over bar duty on the night, head bartender from Singapore’s OffTrack, Joash Conceicao, makes his Thailand debut, battling it out for mixology spoils with locally-based Gabriel Gliga. If propulsive rhythms and irresistible signature cocktails weren’t enough, burger dons Little Market and LA taco specialists Cholos will be on hand to keep bellies full with their lovingly-prepared dishes.

Tropic City quickly became a beacon for quality after opening its doors back in 2018. Now something of an institution, the bar regularly wins international accolades and is unquestionably a jewel in Bangkok’s ultra-charming Talad Noi district. Doors open at 4 pm, and capacity is strictly limited, so early arrival is very much advised.
