宀 is thrilled to welcome the visionary team behind Japan’s revered open-air electronic music festival, rural.

Known for cultivating deep, avant-garde, and uncompromising soundscapes, the rural crew is bringing the distinct spirit of their celebrated festival to Hong Kong for an unforgettable night of boundary-pushing electronic music.

Leading the charge is Atsushi Maeda, the founder and driving force behind rural. Always stepping into the booth with the intent to “leave the floor astonished”, Atsushi’s DJ style is dedicated to guiding audiences into uncharted sonic territories.

Recently returning to an active DJ role, he has been captivating dance floors across the globe; from Organik Festival and his curated Catch 428 Stage at Wonderfruit, to iconic techno institutions like Basement (New York), Bassiani (Tbilisi), and Ankali (Prague). Expect a masterclass in the kind of relentless, forward-thinking techno that rural stands for.

Joining him is long-standing rural resident Nao. A vital pillar of the festival and a promoter with a taste for the unique (having brought acts like Cut Hands and Dolphins Into The Future to Japan), Nao traverses a wide spectrum of genres anchored in techno. Her distinct, groovy, and deeply hypnotic style has earned her a dedicated global following.

Rounding out the line-up is Yadin Moha. Representing the Zagareet collective, Yadin will weave a diverse sonic tapestry, wading in and out of experimental electronics, psychedelia, wave, post-punk, electro, and techno. He provides the perfect eclectic counterpoint, steadily pushing fringe sounds to the forefront.
