Gorillaz announce first-ever India tour for January 2027
The band brings ‘The Mountain’ to Bengaluru and Mumbai, mentioning “Our dream has always been to do a tour of India”
Gorillaz have announced that they’re heading to India for the very first time, with shows lined up for January 2027.
The band will perform in Bengaluru on January 23 and Mumbai on January 27 as part of ‘The Mountain’ tour. The shows are set to take place at District Arena at Terraform and Jio World Garden.
The tour comes after the release of the band’s ninth studio album ‘The Mountain’, which arrived on February 27, 2026 via their KONG label.
The 15-track record features collaborations with Indian artists including Asha Bhosle, Anoushka Shankar, Ajay Prasanna, Asha Puthli, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, alongside a wider group of international contributors.

“It has been and remains a dream of mine to bring Gorillaz in all its technicolour glory to India… I truly look forward to the experience,” says Damon Albarn, speaking about the tour.
Co-creator Jamie Hewlett added, “Our dream has always been to do a tour of India.”

Fans can expect the full live band, special guest performers, and a setlist that blends tracks from ‘The Mountain’ with favourites from across the group’s catalogue.
Tickets will be released through District by Zomato, with a Mastercard pre-sale running from April 13 to April 18, 2026, followed by general sales opening later on April 18.
