Aldrin enlists 8 of SE Asia's top producers for 'Remixing Through The Endemic'
The remix compilation follows 'Navigating Through The Pandemic', and will be out on June 2
Singapore-based imprint One with Music announces ‘Remixing Through The Endemic’, an 8-track remix compilation following up ‘Navigating Through the Pandemic’, that features a stellar line-up of Southeast Asia-based producers.
Every remix is made for the dancefloor, which comes as no surprise given Aldrin’s club-centric legacy as one of the region’s top ambassadors for four-to-the-floor action for several years, most notably from his years spent at the original incarnation of Zouk.

The line-up of remixers includes Aman Anand, DOTT, Indra7, Alinep, Sarayu, Kuma, Konkrete and the label honcho himself, Aldrin.
Bengaluru native and Singapore-based Aman Anand leads the compilation with a progressive and celestial rendition of Aldrin’s ‘Sizing Things Up’; Aman's music has been supported by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Jakarta’s Indra7 follows with his bass-punching slow-burning banger of the same single.

Ferng's ‘Far From Over’ gets a stripped-down treatment in two ways; a driving and minimal rendition from Deepsomnia and Asia Music head Alinep and a bass-driven remix from Thailand’s DOTT. The More Rice Records artist lends his signature dub-influenced, analogue house style.
Also coming from the More Rice camp, label founder Sarayu reworks Halalm Sol’s ‘How?’ from its funk-fuelled structure into a deep and minimal affair. Kuala Lumpur stalwart Kuma stamps his progressive techno flavour onto Aldrin’s ‘Arp Arp & Away’ — the Malaysian producer who has previous releases on Renesanz, Prospect, and Ohrwurm, churns Aldrin’s original into a peak time workout.

Vietnamese duo Konkrete, comprised of Red Sheep and Teddy Bui, bring a big room, rave-friendly vibe to ‘I Am Freakin On Fire’. Hailing from Vietnam’s Haustek crew, who take pride in growing and raising the bar for local electronic talent, the remix marks the Konkrete’s first release on a label outside of home.
Winding down the compilation, Aldrin puts together a melange of melodic techno and progressive house influences for a rework of Benedict & Palmer's proggy ‘The 7th Month’, which the label boss has been dropping as his peak time secret weapon over the last six months.
'Remixing Through The Endemic' will be out on One with Music and available on streaming platforms on June 2, 2023. Follow Aldin and One with Music here.
