BLAK, a new hard techno & hardstyle experience, lands in Malaysia this November
The new festival concept from Evolution Events Asia unites the harder sounds of electronic music & cutting-edge production under one roof
This November, Kuala Lumpur will host the launch of BLAK, a new festival concept created by Evolution Events Asia.
Taking place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Kuala Lumpur's Mega Star Arena, the event is set to gather 5,500 attendees for a night dedicated to industrial techno and raw hardstyle.
Evolution Events Asia has quickly become a major influence on the region’s underground circuit. Known for large-scale projects like such as Verknipt Malaysia and Transmission Festival Thailand, the group has consistently brought global names like I Hate Models, Trym, Nakadia, Joris Voorn, Fatima Hajji, Fantasm, Lily Palmer and Darren Styles to Southeast Asia, shaping a regional community around harder, underground sounds.
Their approach combines international talent with local identity, creating events that not only entertain but also cultivate community across Southeast Asia.
With BLAK, they introduce a concept “born in Malaysia, made for Asia,” positioning the country as a hub for harder sounds in the global scene.

The festival line-up underscores this vision. Headliners include Germany’s Alignment who’s recognised for his hard techno–meets–90s trance sound, and OMAKS from France whose steady release output has made him a rising name in techno.
From the Netherlands, Toxic Machinery bring their intense industrial sound, while France’s Vortek’s delivers an experimental take shaped by rave culture with ambient twists, noise layers, and pounding kicks.

On the hardstyle front, there’ll be Australia’s Anderex and Italy’s Krowdexx duo with high-energy sets.
Also on the line-up is Berlin-based Italian DJ Anxhela who’s known for releases on Orbital, alongside Malaysian artists Mr. Yang, Tchuno, and Ashley Lau, each bringing distinct perspectives from the local scene.
With BLAK, Evolution Events Asia positions Malaysia as a hub for harder sounds in Asia, giving audiences a focused space to experience genres that are gaining a growing following across the region.
