BASSIS & Else Hotel debut Fellow-Ship Sunday, a new rooftop gathering series in Kuala Lumpur
The inaugural edition lands on June 28, featuring a DIY soundsystem showcase by Loveseat & a sunset session from Aroop Roy
BASSIS and Else Hotel are launching Fellow-Ship Sunday, a new quarterly gathering series taking place on the rooftop of Else Hotel in Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown district.
The inaugural event takes place on June 28, 2026, running from 5PM through to midnight.
The concept is straightforward: music, conversation and community over a full afternoon and evening, without the trappings of a conventional club night.
Each edition brings together DJs, collectors, creatives and travellers for a programme that moves through different modes of listening and exchange.
Gathering No.001 opens with a Latin dance lesson and Afro Boogie workout led by SWTLKR. From there, the focus shifts to a custom-built DIY soundsystem put together by collector and selector Xes Xes Loveseat, with open conversations around listening culture, sound reproduction and craftsmanship running alongside it.

Headlining the music line-up is Aroop Roy, the UK-based DJ and producer known for his work with Defected and Glitterbox and his connections with Gilles Peterson and Mr Scruff, who will be taking overthe sunset session.
Also on the bill are Loveseat, SWTLKR, and Donn and Dodgy Yamamoto as Bassis Sound System, alongside a Love International Showcase.
