Arjun Vagale revisits Quartz Records with 4 heavy hitters & a steady remix from DJ Sodeyama
It's been 5 years since Vagale's last release on Quartz
A patient five year wait is what it took to get Indian techno and electronica pioneer Arjun Vagale to return to independent French label Quartz Records.
And as per expectations, Arjun doesn;t hold back — four fresh originals, each a rampant floor stomper, are accompanied by a paced out breakbeat remix by DJ Sodeyama.
‘Time Cop EP’ comes as a refreshing return to Arjun’s floor-centric productions following a studio sabbatical to develop his new project and label Asymetrix which allowed him to harness his more introverted and ambient side.
We caught up with Arjun for a quick chat about the release, “I first appeared on Quartz 5 years ago, and since then I’ve had multiple releases on many labels, including my own ODD Recordings and of course the Asymetrik project. The return to Quartz wasn’t intentional, Paul and I have been friends for many years.”
Vagale has always had a close connection with Quartz and it’s one of his personal favourite labels, “I’ve been a fan of the label since day one - so I’m super glad to be back on Quartz. Paul is also one of the nicest guys in the music business and we’ve actually become great friends.”
So here are four astute belters ready for the club and all you need is a deep-trenched sound system to host it’s powerful sonics — ‘Time Cop EP’ is very welcomed release from Arjun as he rekindles with an old music friend, Quartz Records.
