Welcome to 'Aquasia': a cinematic EP blending Geylang Crunk with an imaginary marine utopia
O$P$'s latest release "offers a fresh perspective on the challenges posed by rising sea levels and climate change."
Owe Money Pay Money aka O$P$ has been pushing Singapore's creative boundaries through their homegrown sound and style called Geylang Crunk. Now, they're diving even deeper into uncharted waters with their latest release, 'Aquasia'; a five-track EP that fuses a modern genre with a fascinating aquatic world.
Teaming up with Benedict & Palmer, Zoosh33 Music, Metamo Industries, and The MeshMinds Foundation, O$P$ invites listeners on an immersive journey through an audiovisual wonderland.
'Geylang Crunk' was first introduced to us by O$P$ through The METAMOVERSE as an immersive music album. Each track and music video act as chapters in the futuristic narrative set in Neo-Santara, a city-state ravaged by feedback loops. This 3D animated and virtual reality experience pushes the boundaries of music and storytelling. Collaborating with regional artists, O$P$ creates a captivating hybrid album that transports listeners to an imaginative world.
Speaking to Mixmag Asia, Metamo Industries' Creative Director, Race Krehel, shared "It has been a labour of love over the past decade building the stories, characters, and world and we are extremely excited that it is in a place to finally begin sharing it with the public."

They've adapted the same principles for 'Aquasia' but this time with added context — through intricate sound design and captivating visuals, 'Aquasia' offers a fresh perspective on the challenges posed by rising sea levels and climate change. Each track represents a distinct meta-world within the 'Aquasia' universe, crafting a fully realised narrative that transcends the physical realm.
Each of the official music videos from the 5-track EP gives an insight to the visual marine dreamscapes.
