Javabass Soundsystem just celebrated its 25th anniversary–an amazing achievement for the Indonesian drum'n'bass collective and label. To mark the occasion, they’ve released a 25-track VA which includes this vibey MC-led track by Jerome & Mantasticmate.

Out of Kathmandu, open format artist Angie recently shared her debut single ‘Amaari’ on Karachi-based label Cape Monze Records. OKKHIO smashed it with a leftfield 140 rework that introduces tight breaks and atmospheric reverb on the stabs.

Surusinghe’s latest EP dropped via dh2 on June 20. Lead single ‘FTRW!’ captures the current zeitgeist of Latin and bass-influenced club aesthetics and was released along with a striking visualiser.

Another label celebrating a milestone this month is Early Reflex as it turns five. Taiwanese producer Sonia Calico, who has had past outings on Scuffed Recordings and More Time, contributed an 808-fuelled belter to the imprint’s anniversary compilation.

Club Glow’s most recent single comes via Utrecht-based Lacuna. ‘Tasruff’ channels South Asian breaks and bass with a haunting vocal over broken rhythms and cavernous sound design.
