Yaeji has launched an interactive, web-based game called Woofa Woofa Juice Club

Korean artist Yaeji has launched a new 8-bit game titled Woofa Joofa Juice Club.

In her 2020 video for ‘Waking Up Down’, Yaeji introduced several characters that she illustrated herself, including Woofa. Now you can play with Woofa alongside three other playable characters while dancing to music from Yaeji’s mixtape at Club Yae or ordering drinks at Joofa’s juice shop. Head here to play the game.

Yaeji has also shared a meditative and hazy “new” track called ‘When in Summer, I Forget About the Winter’. It’s not the first time people in Japan and Korea have heard the track, however, as it was featured as a bonus on the CD format of What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던 in both countries. The lo-fi diary entry is about the changing seasons, and the highs and lows of life, and features her signature soft and wispy vocals.

According to the artist, she wrote the song three years, though “was a different person back then, it still resonates with [her] now.”

Watch it below.

What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던 was released in April of this year and has been credited by Time Magazine, Stereogum, Billboard, Gorilla vs Bear, New Yorker, Pitchfork and more as one of the best albums of 2020.
