United We Stream Asia prepares for round two with a triple header in Thailand
The Asia debut saw around half a million views
United We Stream Asia launched last weekend with three-night of programming broadcasting from clubs like The Observatory in Vietnam, Safe Room in Bangkok and Glow in Bangkok. The streams racked up around half a million view over the course of the weekend and raised $4,170.00 as of writing.
The fun continues this weekend with a triple-header coming at you from clubs like Sing Sing Theatre, Mustache and Tropic City including a mid-week special on Wednesday night. See the full programme for the weekend below.
Donations will continue to be welcomed and are as important as ever. With gloomy forecasts for places like Singapore where clubs could still be months away from reopening, and in Thailand where despite many lockdown measures being lifted, an extended state of emergency means clubs are still a long way from being lifted, Asia still needs your help to survive. Governments in the region have been less than supportive, where unlike the West, little to no funds have been allocated for nightlife communities.
A GoGetFunding has been set up to gather donations and is where you can donate. For an understanding of how the funds raised are being divided, check here.
United We Stream Asia is a partnership between ClubbingTV, ARTE Concert, Clubcommission Berlin, Homeaway Agency and Mixmag Asia, and has committed to uniting the music community’s efforts for recovery. This weekend, however, the French Embassy in Thailand is also stepping up to the plate with support as a sponsor and replacing ARTE Concert.
