United We Stream Asia eyes Manila, Bangkok & Singapore for round four
A final set from Mongolia will also air on Thursday
United We Stream Asia has been off to a roaring start broadcasting from some of Asia’s most unique and deserving venues and locations, and this past weekend was testament to that.
Broadcasting from La Brisa in Bali, Tuff Club in Singapore and the stunning Geodome at Red Rocks Terelj in Ulaanbaatar, the audience was impressed and the streams garnered a whopping $3,000+ in donations from more than 120,000 streams. As of writing, the total raised stands at $7,486.
All funds raised go into a fund set up on GoGetFunding, which gathers all donations that will eventually be returned to the music community in Asia. For an understanding of how the funds raised are being divided, check here.
Coming up this week is XX XX from Manila with support from Goethe-Institut, Studio Lam in Bangkok which is in part with Fête de la Musique and is supported by the French Embassy in Bangkok, and finally Upstairs in Singapore which will be held together with Ice Cream Sundays. Also, due to technical difficulties, the final stream from Mongolia wasn’t aired and Gerlee Merlee’s performance has been rescheduled for Thursday 20.00-21.00 ICT + 1.
