Tom Yeti collaborates with Palladium on a Pampa-Hi boot rework

Thomas Bray from party collective Yeti Out has just released a collaboration with Palladium Boots, called Rave Lucky. The collaboration comes via a rework of Palladium’s Pampa-Hi boot, a high-top sneaker-inspired cotton canvas boot with rubber outsoles, and is inspired by club culture and Chinese New Year.

Palladium’s Year of The Ox series includes designs from various Chinese creatives. Tom Bray’s design took into consideration the traditional activities of Chinese New Year. “It only felt right to create footwear formal enough to visit your family relatives in yet comfy enough to hit the rave after, all night (your grandma doesn’t need to know),” he wrote in his Instagram.

The boots are embellished with red pockets on the side — useful for storing some cash, or a tiny USB for your DJ gig. There will be 88 lucky buyers that will also receive a gold coin USB mixtape.

All the pre-sale proceeds will be donated to the Asian Mental Health Collective, a fund dedicated to fighting anti-AAPI hate crimes, which have seen more than a 1900% increase in New York City last year. You can purchase the Palladium x Tom Yeti “Rave Lucky” boots here. Product photography by Vivianna Yin.

And if you haven’t heard, we’re running a giveaway with Yeti Out on Instagram this week, for the capsule collection they’ve designed for their retro arcade pop-up BRICK CITY WORLD®️ with Retro.HK. You can read the instructions and enter the contest here.
