Taiwanese DJs take the underground to iconic local settings in new mix series
SUNSET CHASER brings cutting-edge music to night markets, pool halls, horse tracks and even shrimp fishing ponds.
A new mix series in Taiwan titled SUNSET CHASER showcases leading artists and their mixes in unique, local spots across its 12-episode first season.
Throughout its debut season, the series heads through places like shrimp fishing ponds to pool halls, night markets, factories, internet cafes, massage parlours, horse tracks, and even walking street tours.
Each location serves as a uniquely Taiwanese backdrop for the DJ sets, with both curated to create a seamless fusion of sound and place, highlighting the synergy between the island's cultural landmarks and its cutting-edge, highly underrated electronic music scene.
In the first four episodes, we’ll see artists Karika, longlongty, LeNin, and Molly Lin drop sets from quirky spots like comic book shops, ten-dollar general stores, internet cafes, and even a BB gun store, blending the familiar with the unexpected.
The first episode with CcozZ, which is out now, kicks things off with a high-energy set filmed in a classic pool hall. Watch below.
This is only season one, with producers Scott Noise and 4000 aiming to bring season 2 to Bangkok in the (hopefully) near future.

Just months before officially launching SUNSET CHASER, Scott Noise and 4000 made waves with their event brand Temple Rave by hosting a live rave on a moving float during Taiwan's largest religious event, the Tachia Matsu Pilgrimage.
This nine-day pilgrimage is one of the most significant celebrations of Mazu worship, drawing massive crowds from across Taiwan as devotees make the journey across the country.

Amid the sea of traditional floats, their techno-fueled float was impossible to miss, blending Taiwan’s spiritual heritage with electronic music. This bold fusion of Mazu worship and techno culture set the stage for the unique local-meets-global vibe that defines SUNSET CHASER.
