Humane Bookings launches with a focus on innovation & community
Founders Ai Lien & Marco Yanes share their vision for the new project, which has just signed Italian artist Marco Maldarella
Humane Bookings, founded by Marco Yanes and Ai Lien, is a Vietnam-based booking agency officially launched after over a year of supporting local and international artists.
With a focus on fostering the underground music scene in Asia, Humane nurtures diversity, creativity, and community.
“Connecting people is our core mission—we elevate local talent, introduce niche international artists to Asia, and showcase homegrown artists globally,” the founders shared with Mixmag Asia.
They added, “Our values—integrity, respect, and sharing—reflect what Humane strives to create.” Humane seeks out artists who bring fresh, innovative ideas to their performances and productions, breaking away from the norm.
Humane’s roster presents a vibrant mix of emerging and established talent, including Vietnamese DJ and producer HIP. Co-founders Ai Lien and Marco Yanes, with over 15 years of global experience, including the last six in Asia, contribute their knowledge and vision to Humane, alongside their work with HUM, HUM Studios, and the soon-to-launch HUM Records.

Internationally, Spacetravel from Italy is Humane’s first booking. Known for releases on prominent labels like Perlon, Cabaret Recordings, and his own imprint TWM, Spacetravel has garnered acclaim for his innovative approach to electronic music.
The agency is also proud to welcome Marco Maldarella, whose deep and immersive sound aligns perfectly with Humane’s artistic vision.
Drawing from the rich Italian roots of deep techno, Maldarella bridges hypnotic atmospheric depth with the fast-paced rhythms of IDM. A designer, producer, and selector based in Bologna, he’s a key figure behind labels and projects such as Omen Wapta, Marmo Live, and Sinestesie.

For this occasion, he crafted a 70-minute mix that encapsulates his unique sonic journey, immersing listeners in deep, evolving rhythms and evocative sound design.
“In today's world, where electronic music continues to evolve from the ground up, my ambition is to bring listening back to something experiential and deeply engaging. Through a language that blends the illusion of fast rhythms with the intricate complexity of experimental music, I aim to create a listening experience that invites deeper appreciation and exploration,” says Maldarella.

Looking ahead, Humane is building an ecosystem to support talent across the region, collaborating with HUM for event management, HUM Studios for creative development, and the soon-to-launch HUM Records.
"We will work exclusively with artists who value sharing not only music but also knowledge and visions, understanding the importance of living an experience before valuing monetary aspects," underline the founders.
