Stephan Bodzin, GotSome, Wankelmut & more head to Hong Kong for ALTN8
Asia's first ever urban underground music festival is slated for March
Earlier this week we announced that Hong Kong was being treated to the first ever urban, carbon-neutral and multi-venue underground music festival in Asia.
The first series of artists was announced and included GotSome, The Nextmen, Preditah and Danny Rampling from the UK, DJ Pierre from the US and Wankelmut from Germany.
Today the next series of artists were unveiled and include Stephan Bodzin, Lusine, Umami, Pute Deluxe & rewind. There is still one more round of international acts to go.
"We’re putting together a line-up that will have both great international DJs and also some interesting live acts that will be programmed across the day to take everyone on a true musical journey,” said ALTN8 co-founder Roger De Leon.
“We have focused on cultivating a community vibe among venues and patrons alike; to give people a unifying experience, connecting them with the music, the city and with each other," he added.
The artists will play across 8 stages at venues including Fly Club, Volar, Zafran, Fish & Meat, Stockton, Mercedes me, Halcyon, Rula Bula and Kee. All are within walking distance of one another.
The event kicks off at noon on the 11th and goes until the early hours of the 12th. One ticket will give music lovers full access to eight events and early bird tickets tickets are already on sale for $480HKD. They can be purchased here for a limited time and since Hong Kong isn't exactly home to the biggest venues in Asia, in fact they are some of the smallest, we don't recommending sleeping on tickets.
