ALTN8 to bring 40 artists across 8 stages at 1 party to central Hong Kong
The first ever electronic music & arts festival to descend upon Hong Kong in March
Central Hong Kong will play host to a new concept that is set to launch on March 11th, 2017 with the aim of becoming Asia’s definitive urban, carbon-neutal and multi-venue underground music festival.
One ticket will give music lovers full access to eight events that kick off at noon on the 11th and goes until the early hours of the 12th. All the partner venues are within walking distance of one another and include Fly Club, Volar, Zafran, Fish & Meat, Stockton, Mercedes me, Halcyon, Rula Bula and Kee with Maximal Concepts, Aqua Group, Buzz Concepts, Halcyon and Kee Club all onboard the organizing committee. Naturally, being Hong Kong's most beloved F&B groups, there will be plenty of award-winning food and drink in the mix.
The announcement of the inaugural event comes accompanied by first batch of electronic artists including GotSome, The Nextmen, Preditah and Danny Rampling from the UK, DJ Pierre from the US and Wankelmut from Germany. This is just the first in a series of artists that are to be announced in the coming weeks.
“In a city that sorely lacks music venues and where space is at a premium, ALTN8 has chosen a different path and struck upon the innovative idea of a festival staged indoors," said ALTN8 co-founder Charlie Toller. "Each venue offers an intimate view of the performance, for everyone at every stage to enjoy being a part of it.”
ALTN8 also says that their innovative approach will offer something not seen or heard before: a day-to-night sonic journey of back-to-back, world- class and varied electronic music, seamlessly flowing from venue to venue.
Early bird tickets tickets are already on sale for $480HKD and can be purchased here for a limited time.
