Pasquale Rotella, founder of Insomniac, has published an official statement to inform fans that he and his team have some big announcements for 2017.
The biggest news from the round-up is that Electric Daisy Carnival New York has officially been cancelled for next year. It seems as though the NYC crowd might lack enthusiasm for the festival scene, something that the West Coast has increasingly been welcoming. Rotella explains: "Although EDC New York 2017 was one of my favorites hosted in the Big Apple, we've decided to take a break in 2017. We hope many of you East Coast Headliners will join us in Vegas".
A second announcement arrives with confirmation that EDC Japan is finally heading to Tokyo next spring, hitting the rapidly growing Asian markets in electronic dance music. Pasquale hints that a beach-side location has already been chosen with more details coming next week. Stay tuned.
