Singapore Art Week incoming with The Salvages and HighHouse joining hands to bring to you legendary Japanese music creator Shinichi Osawa, also known as Mondo Grosso.

Shinichi Osawa stands as one of Asia’s most influential architects of electronic and dance music, with a career spanning well over 30 years. Emerging from his acid-jazz project Mondo Grosso, he achieved international recognition in the 1990s, touring Europe and releasing albums globally.

As a producer, his work on ‘Bird’ sold over 700,000 copies, earning major industry acclaim and establishing him as a tastemaker beyond Japan. His album ‘MG4’ was released in 25 countries, a rare feat for an Asian electronic artist at the time.

Renowned for his remixes and collaborations with artists such as The Chemical Brothers, BOYS NOIZE, and Digitalism, Osawa remains a respected innovator and globally sought-after “chaos maker” (not DJ, in his own words).
