‘Solace’ is Shingo Nakamura’s cathartic portrayal of post-pandemic connection

Shingo Nakamura’s latest album ‘Solace’ is a masterclass in melodic house, showcasing his signature fusion of lush piano melodies and deep, progressive rhythms.

Releasing via Monstercat Silk on October 8, the 14-track album draws inspiration from his post-pandemic performances, where reconnecting with live audiences shaped his creative vision.

Known for his productions like ‘Sapporo’ and ‘Glow’ which topped Beatport charts and earned praise from tastemakers like Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond, Nakamura's global footprint continues to grow with sold-out shows across North America and slots at high-profile European festivals.

Marking another chapter in his career, each track on ‘Solace’ reflects the emotional journey he experienced on tour after the pandemic, channelling the energy of those shared moments into immersive, atmospheric compositions.

He shares, “This was my first time making music outside of Japan. I worked in studios and with artists in LA, Seattle, and with BT in DC. Blending Japanese and American styles and influences gives the album a global sonic journey. I would be happy if the album can accompany all of you as you travel and find solace in your own adventures.”

For the title track, Shingo teams up with Monstercat veteran Mango and singer-songwriter Nina Carr whose vocals shine as they explore themes of vulnerability, love, and freedom.
