Sasha has put 100 records from his own personal collection up for auction – a “carefully curated” selection of rare vinyl.

The Sasha Collection will go on sale on Tuesday, July 8, via Amplifyd, an auction house selling collections of rare and unique items from musicians and music brands.

All 100 records are taken from Sasha’s archive, and features both signed vinyl and “unique acetates of unreleased versions of tracks”, as well as the records he used to create his legendary mix compilation ‘Global Underground 13: Ibiza’.

“After 20 years in storage, I’ve decided to curate a special auction of records from my cherished vinyl collection,” he explains. “From my first purchase in 1987 to my shift to digital in 2005, these records were my musical life.”

Described as a “time capsule” of his music career, the collection includes his 1999 hit ‘Xpander’ as well as his 2000-released collaborative track ‘Scorchio’ alongside Darren Emerson, alongside many more.

“Though [these records] hold deep emotional value, it's time to share them with collectors and fans who will deeply appreciate them,” he says.

“Letting go is emotional and very hard. Revisiting these records, seeing them again, holding them, and even smelling them evoked memories of a unique chapter in my life.”

Elsewhere, the collection features legendary tracks played by Sasha throughout his career, including BT’s ‘Fibonacci Sequence’, Bedrock’s ‘Heaven Scent’, and Medway’s ‘The Baseline Track’ – the latter thought to be “the only existing copy”.

“By releasing this collection, I’m sharing my history and allowing these records to inspire others. I hope it expands the legacy of these records, allowing them to live on in the hands of old collectors and new admirers alike,” he says.
