Premiere: BUSYBOI’s ‘Blurry Vision’ gets a bass-driven overhaul by Pine

Hekdb is back with its second compilation album, ‘Hekdb Product 002’, yet again showcasing a vibrant and eclectic mix of talents from across Asia.

Following the success of its first compilation which dropped earlier this year, the label continues to spotlight rising stars from the region. This time, label founder Pine takes the lead alongside BUSYBOI, Sattle, Oyubi, and vis, representing the electronic music hotbeds of Tokyo, Kyoto, Hong Kong, and Jakarta.

To celebrate the drop, there will be a tour featuring artists Oyubi, Pine, and vis. Events are set for November 9 at WEST HARLEM in Kyoto and November 12 at Suigetsu in Tokyo.

Today, we present Pine’s remix of BUSYBOI’s ‘Blurry Vision’. The original track was born from a happy accident—BUSYBOI’s “imperfect” tweaking of his Digitakt output, resulting in a raw, groovy track that melds organic drums and a bouncy house vibe with crunchy acid synths.

Pine’s remix builds on this energy, amplifying the acid synths from the get-go and weaving in percussive layers that intensify the momentum. Crisp percussion drives the beat as wobbly basslines intertwine with glitchy textures, creating an irresistible UKG groove. Let’s just say, the bass is in-your-face with this one—in the best possible way.

Then, Pine introduces ethereal chimes that weave in and out, evoking the sensation of floating through a surreal, hazy soundscape. As the remix winds down, the cacophony of spinning synths and glitchy melodies gives way, leaving you with the feeling of coming back to reality after an intense, out-of-body sonic experience.

Listen below, and look out for ‘Hekdb Product 002’ when it drops on October 18 here.
