Potato Head Bali brings a flurry of sounds & flavours from Thailand

Potato Head’s monthly Headonism festivities bring Thailand to Bali shores with a weekend filled with music, culinary goodness, art, workshops, sustainability, meditation, martial arts and more this April 21-23.

Since its very first edition in 2021, Headonism has brought good vibes and good times to its grounds with a well-rounded range of musical selectors from the island and beyond. With a combination of music, art, sustainability and activities to engage in, Headonism has planted its roots in the Island of the Gods as a multi-sensory weekend for individuals to indulge in a unique Potato Head way of life.

This weekend for its 11th edition, the activities and line-up hail from Thailand as Bali’s creative village opens up its gates to festivities such as masterclasses, meditations, workshops, exhibitions and many more.

As the sun sets on Friday, award-winning Chef Pam from Potong restaurant in Bangkok will host a masterclass and dinner journey as she showcases iconic Thai flavours in some of her quintessential dishes. The night will end with artists Lipelis, Raphaël Top-Secret, NOTEP, Marvel and the well-known Transport party collective as they gather crowds on the Beach Club dancefloors.

The next day starts at noon with a bio-based material workshop from Bangkok-based artist Hutsama Juntaratana and right after, NOTEP will start the contemporary mala meditation & manifestation workshop.

As for the activities in the evening, Talad Noi venue Tropic City will join Charmgang as they host a bar and kitchen takeover from 5pm to 11pm alongside a selection of beats by Bangkok-based beat purveyors DJ Zombie, Issasha and Mumsfilibaba.

Stay for the sunset as an art performance by Saipa Fine Arts & Arsa Wijaya will whisk you away into the night that will set the tone for the upcoming musically charged evening at Studio Eksotika with A Guy Called Gerald, Acid Sister and Jirus from Bangkok’s Never Normal.

Sunday starts with an Ijen kitchen takeover with 100 Mahaseth as they showcase unique Isan cuisine with a hearty home-cooked flair. For an hour from 3:30 pm, you’ll be able to witness Saipa Fine Arts display an ancient Thai boxing exhibition.

To end the weekend, contemporary molam specialists Paradise Bangkok and Balinese duo Kadapat will be performing a closing show until 8pm at the Amphitheater.
