MONé drops his gut-punching debut EP, 'Resurgence', on Indian label Bøne.FM.

'Resurgence' is a fierce love letter to breaks, electro, acid, and techno. Across four blistering tracks, MONé weaves together hard-hitting drums, screeching basslines, and sinister melodies, creating a soundscape charged with tension and brimming with personality.

It’s a wildly impressive debut that showcases a producer who’s not just found his sound, but mastered it early in his career.

Though MONé has released tracks on respected labels before, this debut feels like his most fully realized and distinctive project yet. There’s a raw, unapologetic energy in his production that hits hard, but with an impressive level of precision and boldness.

While raw electro breaks form the backbone of the EP, each track pulses with its own unique character, demonstrating the versatility MONé brings to the table.

Opening with ‘MF23’, the EP sets the tone with a bass-driven, cut-throat track that doesn’t hold back. ‘Cosmic Disko’ on the other hand, is an acid-rooted roller, while ‘Error 404’ demands to be blasted on a serious sound system, its hypnotic, menacing undertones perfect for a smoke-filled, strobe-lit room. Closing with ‘Reloop’, MONé dials down the abrasiveness just a notch, but the synth-heavy sizzler still packs plenty of punch.

Our pick is the opener, ‘MF23’. It begins with a serene, almost deceptive intro, lulling you into a false sense of security before unravelling into a sinister, brooding storm of synths and percussion. The synth work stings and the percussion hits like a freight train — a true statement opener.

With ‘Resurgence’, MONé solidifies himself as a name to watch, delivering a sharp, well-crafted project, making for yet another winning release from Bøne.FM, proving that both label and artist are here to make waves.
