Mixtape 54 drops debut compilation ‘Hoa Đầu Mùa’
The Hanoi-based collective blends modern production & traditional sound culture from across Vietnam

Mixtape 54, a music collective formed in January 2025 by Klound V, Mmoriez and Marrk Martinez, has released its debut compilation titled ‘Hoa Đầu Mùa’.
The 12-track compilation combines electronic dance music with traditional Vietnamese music and sounds from various provinces across the country.
It features traditional instruments such as the zither and bamboo flute, along with various Vietnamese singing styles.
The project is intended to encourage younger audiences and artists to engage with electronic music through a cultural and traditional lens.

Mixtape 54 was formed in January 2025 after Klound V, while working as a mixing/mastering engineer for Miss Universe Vietnam, developed a deeper appreciation for traditional Vietnamese music.
He joined forces with Mmoriez and Marrk Martinez to form the collective, starting with smaller projects before diving into ‘Hoa Đầu Mùa’ whose title draws from the cultural elegance of the lotus flower.
