Marie Montexier leads a high-energy kick-off for Shi Fu Miz 2024

Shi Fu Miz Festival kicks off on Friday, November 8, 2024, with a must-attend opening night at Yalla, the sleek underground pop-up club in Central Hong Kong.

Running from 10pm to 4am, Yalla’s full range d&b Audiotechnik sound system and hypnotic lighting will create the perfect setting for three top-tier sonic curators.

Leading the charge is German DJ, label head, and activist Marie Montexier. Known for her slick vinyl sets and genre-spanning sound, she blends everything from old-school rave bangers to futuristic club beats. A master of vinyl, her sets are a wild ride of tight cuts, cheeky spinbacks, and seamless blends that take you on a journey.

Backing up Montexier is local legend Mr. Ho, co-founder of the cult label Klasse Wrecks. Mr. Ho’s sets are unpredictable, diving deep into house, techno, breakbeat, and electro. With residencies at Hong Kong’s Mihn and Berlin’s Tresor, it’s safe to say Mr. Ho knows how to control a room.

Completing the line-up is Marina Ruiz, who champions sounds that are warm, soulful, and impossible to resist. Her genre-blending sets pull from deep house, jazz, and world beats, creating a vibe that unites the dancefloor with a sense of shared energy.

Shi Fu Miz returns to the idyllic Cheung Chau Island from November 9-10, 2024, offering an immersive blend of music, art, and wellness.
