Malaa’s Alter Ego drops high-octane track ‘Make It Work’
The experimental counterpart serves up a fusion of hard techno, glitchy electro & UK garage influences
French DJ and producer Malaa has introduced an exciting new chapter in his career through his experimental counterpart, Malaa’s Alter Ego.
Following the release of a track by Malaa himself titled ‘Face Off’, the alter ego returns the favour with ‘Make It Work’; a high-octane anthem that melds raw, underground energy with unexpected twists.
Kicking off with a frenetic tempo, the track is layered with glitchy electro elements, creating a raw, industrial texture. UK garage influences sneak in through skittering percussion patterns and offbeat rhythms, adding a sense of unpredictability to the mix.
The build-up is relentless, with minimal vocal snippets punctuating the track, complementing the chaotic yet controlled soundscape that culminates in a rave-ready climax.
Its sound showcases the raw, unfiltered energy of Malaa’s Alter Ego, diverging from the signature deep house grooves that Malaa is widely known for.

This alter ego project which was announced in early September introduces a fresh dynamic to Malaa’s music, with the two personas creatively competing to grab the attention of listeners with two opposing styles.
While Malaa tends to lean towards dark, bass-heavy house music, Malaa’s Alter Ego takes a more experimental approach, blending genres and delivering an edgier, unpredictable sound.
Malaa has been a driving force in the realm of electronic music since 2015. Known for his balaclava-clad anonymity, he’s released a string of iconic tracks on Tchami’s Confession label, plus has performed at notable global festivals like Ultra, Tomorrowland, and EDC.
