Kolour ups the ante on live streaming with a 360° festival experience

Bangkok-based collective Kolour has just announced one of the most creative and mindful projects to sprout from the mess left behind in the wake of the ruthless COVID-19 outbreak.

Kolour On The Net is a “two-day festival” set to debut on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 with a packed program that, much like Kolour's regular events, goes far beyond just music.

Alongside the DJs (line-up coming tomorrow), activities will include but are not limited to: quarantine yoga, home mindset training, cooking workshops, boxing and weight training workshops, live Q&As, industry talks, positivity workshops, festival mask-making workshops and — our favourite — business talks on topics like how to generate income while under quarantine.

They’ve also gathered over THB150,000 (US$5,000) worth of giveaways available for everyone who subscribes to the stream (which is free). That includes drink, restaurant and fitness training vouchers, festival swag, festival tickets, apparel, breakthrough sessions and more.

The event is in partnership with Singha and Eventpop and will be hosted by Miss Ticha, winner of The Face season 2. And in case you missed the memo, it's entirely free — all you need to do is subscribe. Kolour are also asking "attendees" to get on their festival outfits, pull out the glitter and get ready to dance. This combined with the abundance of establishments all over Asia that are offering Michelin-calibre food and drink delivered to the comfort of your own home, we expect Asia to have plenty to "rave" about this weekend.

Just last month, Kolour held its sixth and super successful edition of its annual wakeboarding and music festival, Kolour In The Park. Even still, with nothing to gain, the team set out to create the most feature-rich online music festival that Thailand (and possibly the world) has ever seen. And from what we’re seeing, it's mission accomplished.

"From day one, we have been passionate about spreading a vibe of positivity, inclusion and contribution," said the team at Kolour. "Now more than ever we find it our calling to help extend these values to our community and beyond."

Kolour On The Net takes place on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29...online. Find more details here and subscribe here. The live stream will be in English and Thai.
