Justice share first-ever Gesaffelstein collab from Grand Theft Auto VI score album

Justice have shared details of their forthcoming score album for Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to land via Because Music/Ed Banger Records on December 11.

The French duo, AKA Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, have composed the original score for the next video game in Rockstar Games' GTA series, which will finally hit consoles on November 11, 13 years after the release of GTA V.

According to a press release, 'Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score' will span 30 tracks and additional bonus music, comprising a "three-hour suite of material". Upon release, the album will be available to listen to via all major streaming services and as a limited edition CD and vinyl.

The pair shared their first single from the project on October 29, 'Pusher', a driving, synth-laden odyssey which marks Justice's first official collaborative single with fellow French producer Gesaffelstein.

It follows the release of 'Flower In a Hurricane' featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, which will feature in the separate soundtrack 'Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album'. The single has reached number 39 in the US Billboard Singles Chart since it debuted earlier this month (October 15).

Discussing the forthcoming score, de Rosnay said: "The scope of the game is so large geographically and thematically that it was clear from the beginning that the music would also have to be very broad in terms of emotions, genres, and textures."

"We were given the freedom to explore as many things as we needed to, musically speaking, as long as it made sense with the game," he continues.
