“I’m shitting it”: Jai Paul posts message to fans ahead of first ever live show

Jai Paul has left a statement for fans on Reddit ahead of his debut live performance this weekend at California’s Coachella Festival.

The show marks Jai Paul’s first ever live set and the first movement from the elusive producer since returning to social media in 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his breakout hit ‘BTSTU’.

Just days ahead of the show, he made a statement to fans reading: “Yoo it’s Jai. This weekend I’m gonna be playing my first ever live show and I’m not gonna lie I am absolutely shitting it.”

The message was posted in Jai Paul’s subreddit, which currently has more than 7,000 members. “Anyway just wanted to acknowledge the real heads over here and let u lot know how much I appreciate you lot sticking it out with me for all this time,” he said.

“Hopefully it’s all gonna be worth it. Those of you able to make it out there, I will see you in a few days.”

The post also came alongside a photo of Jai Paul practising for the live performance with a band at Terminal Studios in Bermondsey, London.

2019’s ‘Do You Love Her Now / He’ is the producer’s last release, although he made a brief return in 2021 to share BTSTU.com, a website where he shared further unfinished demos.

The producer is due to play at Coachella Festival this coming weekend on Sunday, April 16, followed by a second performance at the festival’s second event on Sunday, April 23.

Jai Paul will perform alongside the likes of Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, Gorillaz, BLACKPINK, The Chemical Brothers, Björk, Rosalía, Underworld, and Kaytranada at this year’s event.
