Goldway 高威 is the latest addition to Hong Kong’s techno community. Formed in an industrial setting, the crew aims to combine the spirits of the industrial center and contemporary music culture and experiment with underground music that originated from Hong Kong. For this particular event, they are partnering with Mindblank; a fellow Hong Kong-based group that prides itself in being a cross-dimensional collective.

For their launch party titled Mirage, the collectives welcome one of the top contributors to the Japanese techno scene, Ryogo Yamamori (Kagerou), who will be making his Hong Kong debut with support from Mill.H (Goldway/Utopia), Dan-neo (Acadana/Cipher), Konnection and Changa (Mindblank/15g).

Ryogo Yamamori started DJing in the late '90s and his sound is that of a minimalist producer skilled at incorporating unconventional elements without disrupting the flow of sound. His crossover music selection from electric to techno, psychedelic, ambient, and crossover creates an original and contemporary sound space.

Yamamori’s one-of-a-kind technique has been witnessed by clubs like Octagon, ageHa, Womb, Vent, and Dommune Contact.

With releases on revered labels such as The Trinity EP on Josh Wink’s Ovum, Hot Steel 2 VA on Nina Kraviz’s трип and his outstanding addition to Psyk’s Non Series, the Tokyo-based DJ also started his own label, Kagerou, featuring Kan Shinomura, Hisaharu Sato, Skoll, and Sinnertia.
