Southeast Asian artists Hoaprox & Haneri team up on a dancefloor pop jam

Vietnamese producer Hoaprox recently teamed up with Singaporean singer and songwriter Haneri for a dance floor pop track called ‘Brighter Side’ on renowned label Monstercat. This marks Hoaprox’s second release on the international label since the previous track ‘New World'.

Haneri is a rising electronic music vocalist who got her start on season one of ‘Singapore Idol’ under her given name Daphne Khoo. Since then, she took on the name Haneri and worked with artists like Charlie Puth, Kehlani, Paul Van Dyk and more. Her debut EP 'Milliona' was the perfect blend of pop, fun and dance, which made her vocals blend in so well with on ‘Brighter Side’.

Hoaprox is no longer a stranger to our Mixmag Asia readers, as he spent much of 2020 undoubtedly disrupting Vietnam’s dance music scene. His track ‘Ngau Hung’ soared to more than 2 billion streams and saw him become one of the top artists on China’s streaming service NetEase, bringing progressive house, future bass, and more to new audiences.

Haneri shares, “I hope this song will bring you the feeling of finding your happy place. Be it a person, a place, a time or just yourself.” Hoaprox expands on the luminous nature of the song, “Light will always be an inspiration to guide us to a brighter future.”

Together, the duo is a dream team of irresistibly catchy vocals and bouncy house baselines. This collaboration takes a fresh step into the dance pop genre and bridges both artists to more audiences. Listen to the track below:

Elsewhere on planet Monstercat, the label is making huge traction in Asia and is currently looking for a marketing manager in Singapore for the APAC region. Find more information here.
