Helang drops high-octane energy on new EP ‘Flashback’ via HE.SHE.THEY.
The 3-track project delivers hypnotic basslines, acid breaks & high-intensity grooves

Chinese-American DJ/producer Helang continues her ascent with the release of her latest EP, 'Flashback', out now with HE.SHE.THEY.
The three-tracker comes with accompanying club edits, marking one of her most dynamic releases yet.
'Flashback' pulls no punches from the jump. The title track kicks things off at full throttle, locking in with groove-driven energy, rolling basslines, hypnotic textures, and razor-sharp sample work. It’s a high-voltage opener tailor-made for sweaty, peak-time dancefloors—a statement of intent.
Up next, and arguably our standout, 'The Artist in Me' leans into acid-drenched breaks, gut-punching percussion, and masterfully deployed 303s. The track is underscored by an introspective mantra from Helang herself, reinforcing the EP’s unapologetic, attitude-laden ethos.
Closing out the trip, 'On My Own' is equally relentless, showcasing her signature blend of house and techno with an emotionally charged roller. That slow-burning one-minute build-up is alone enough to cause damage on any dancefloor.

Speaking on the release, Helang shares: “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve found it difficult to follow rules, be micromanaged, conform to trends—the list goes on. When I write music, I channel that energy into my craft. I want my music to send a message: live life on your own terms, not how society dictates.”

She continues, “In 'Flashback', I found a balance between euphoria and melancholy—something that comes through in the vocals and synths. That’s the beauty of music: feeling everything, the good and the bad, and expressing yourself in the most authentic way.”
