Djenerates takes over the crypto space with the heart & soul of our industry

If there’s one NFT project that those in our scene can relate to, it might just be this one. Launched in August of last year, Djenerates blasted through the metaverse with 10,000 avatars of familiar faces and relatable characters from the electronic music world. With the shift of technology within the music industry, this is one of the projects in the Web3 space that provides a set of unique character traits which is generative art.

One of the main objectives in the NFT space is to build communities and with our little family of music aficionados, it already comes served on a silver platter. It seems like our industry is fit for a merge into Web3 and Djenerates comes into space with this in mind. Within the essence of how this PFP project emerges, Djenerates immortalizes and collaborates with electronic music icons such as Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Paul Van Dyk, Jamie Jones, Claude Vonstroke, Blond:ish and many more who have joined the journey. Taking it one step further, the 10,000 avatars also includes the heart and soul that flourish the industry on the dancefloors: clubbers, producers, bouncers, VIPs, door staff, promoters, dancers, bar staff, movers and shakers.

The project sits on a partnership with Starship Universe that is powered by the Cardano blockchain. Their first generative drop sold out within four days with a mint price of 0.08 ETH. Their roadmap since their launch in 2021 has included a massive digital infrastructure in the crypto space for their community. With upcoming events such as weekly livestreams, a mobile app, a global DJ search that will allow the winner to play a live set at Amnesia in Ibiza, a second Djenerates drop, boat parties, marketplace on the Polygon platform, Burning Djen Festival (excited to see what this is about) and more.

As with many of those projects that are thriving within the power of blockchain, the utility portion online and offline holds major weight in the longevity of the collection. Djenerates has partnered with Decentraland, a 3D virtual space, to bring a glimmer of dancefloors back into our lives with Amnesia Super Club in Ibiza along with performances from Paul Van Dyk, Yves V, Benny Benassi, Anfisa, Tez Cadey and many more. They have also created a permanent home for a virtual club called Club JENR8 where holders can enjoy livestreams or even create launches for your brand in the metaverse. Another partnership with Somnium Space has provided the community with a hub to create a record store, gallery and rooftop area for label parties — everything that we already have IRL has translated into the metaverse. The BEETZ (BTZ) social token is also included in their huge range of utilities, they have partnered up with Moonwalk to provide a Djenerates wallet. This will allow the community to earn or purchase NFTs, unlock discounts, access a merch store and experiential IRL events.

According to Augustman, Tim Meyer aka Hipworth, founder of the Djenerates NFT explains, “As we prepare for the rollout of Djenerates 2.0, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Moonwalk, who are providing us with a platform to deliver Web 3.0 utility to our community in a frictionless and engaging way.”

One of the best ways to stay connected and be a part of an NFT community will be Discord and for Djenerates, their airdrops are featured in this space. Jumping into another project on a highly acclaimed collection called the Bored Ape Yacht Club version of a Djenerate, these were special 350 editions were airdropped to those who own a verified Djenerates.

For industries all over, the crypto space is currently making waves in all directions and the music industry is just starting its reign in the crypto space. To get your hands on one of the Djenerates, head here.
