DJ AYA returns to Hong Kong for a night of bold, bass-heavy sounds on April 4

Zurich-born, Berlin-based DJ AYA is storming back to Hong Kong to serve up another night of bass-heavy mayhem.

Hosted by Omni and Mixmag Asia, this femme-forward party will take over Cínco on Friday, April 4, alongside local powerhouses Angelika and Baby Diwata on support duties.

Known for her dynamic performances and diverse sound, DJ AYA has become a prominent figure in Berlin’s electronic music scene.

Her mixes combine elements of UK bass, grime, reggaeton, baile funk, garage, hard groove, and techno, creating a distinctive style characterised by strong basslines, heavy percussion, and high-energy transitions.

In a nutshell, her sets aim to keep the dancefloor moving, drawing on both club-ready drive and genre-blending creativity.

She is also co-head of the Berlin-based label (lip) service and continues to champion diverse voices on the dancefloor.

Having performed at notable venues and festivals such as Panorama Bar, Boiler Room in Lisbon and Berlin, Khidi in Tbilisi, Glitch Festival, and All Together Now, DJ AYA has built an international reputation for her engaging and bass-driven sound.

Most recently, she contributed a mix to HER他 Transmission’s 200th edition, an inclusive podcast series championing women and LGBTQIA+ artists globally, run by Cloudy Ku.

After a well-received set in Hong Kong last year, DJ AYA’s return will surely be another one for the books.
