Daijo looks ahead with debut album rooted in emotional melodic house & techno
The Vancouver-based artist continues to build on the success of ‘Goodbye’ on Revealed Recordings
Daijo is part of a new wave of Canadian electronic producers who sit comfortably between the dancefloor and more reflective listening.
Rooted in melodic house and techno, his sound is built on clean grooves, patient builds, and melodic detail; atmospheric and full of emotional weight.
Born to an Iranian refugee mother, raised in Hamburg, and now based in Vancouver, Daijo grew up moving between cultures and scenes. That mix shows up in his work as a broad, open-ended sound that doesn’t feel tied to one place or tradition.
Across his catalogue, he explores familiar human themes through layered melodies, steady low-end grooves, and textured synth work.
One of his most visible releases to date is 'Goodbye', released via Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, which seamlessly paired his melodic instincts with a more direct emotional narrative. It starts off restrained and focused, allowing the mood to unfold naturally before coming in with the anticipated drop.
As Daijo puts it: “Goodbye is a story about love and loss – about that moment you realise that letting go is the only way forward. Anyone who’s ever cared deeply for someone will feel that.”

Beyond the studio, Daijo has built a reputation as a consistent live performer. He’s headlined sold-out shows across North America and adapts smoothly from intimate club nights to full festival stages.

So, what’s next for Daijo? A full-length album, following his string of releases on respected labels, continuing to refine his sound that values emotional clarity.
If you’re into melodic techno and house that values feeling as much as function, he’s an artist worth keeping on your radar.
