Cyda’s debut album ‘Ground Control’ locks into progressive house roots

Cyda steps into long-form territory with ‘Ground Control’, his debut album set for release in March 2026 via France-based label Minitel.

The title track arrived as the lead single and is quickly rising up the Beatport Best New Trance chart for December 2025, making its debut at No. 14.

Known for a sound that once leaned heavily on Italo disco, electro, and deep house through labels like Ritmo Fatale, Dischi Autunno, and Minitel, Cyda refines his focus on this LP.

Cyda frames the record as a guided journey rather than a statement piece. Across nine tracks, the listen is a “55-minute-and-35-second flight bound for the golden era of 90s progressive and 2000s trance vibes”.

It’s a playful metaphor, but the music itself stays grounded, favouring groove and flow over spectacle; rolling basslines sit alongside airy pads, melodic synth leads, and spoken word vocals that feel more textural than declarative.
