W Hotels Worldwide is welcoming Chinese DJ and producer Chace as a guest music curator for its new #WMUSICSERIES. The series will kick off in December 2020 and run until 2021 and see Chace take the stage at four W Hotels in China: W Chengdu, W Xi’an, W Suzhou and W Shanghai – The Bund.
Chace is a Shanghai-based artist who burst on the scene in 2017 after staking a claim as the first Chinese DJ to play Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium at just 17 years old. Following that, he spent several years touring the world before returning to China to flex his vocal chops as the frontman of alternative rock band Mandarin alongside competing on the hit TV show Summer of Bands. Fast forward to today, and Chace’s collaboration with W Hotels will see him return to dance music and deliver four high-energy performances to EDM fans at W Hotels in each city.
“Music connects us all. It's a common language that we share," said Chace. "I experienced that as a DJ from China, working with some amazing talents in the music industry overseas. I see my collaboration with W Hotels as an extension of that connection. Every W Hotel comes to life with the sound of the destination, ignited by its bold music programming. I look forward to working with W Hotels to curate and deliver a fresh new/next music experience for fans across China.”
“Music has always been in the DNA of W Hotels, and we are amping up the beat with our latest #WMUSICSERIES featuring the supremely talented Chace as our Guest Music Curator for Greater China," adds Jennie Toh from Marriott International, the parent company of W Hotels. "W Hotels have always been a platform for emerging visionaries in the music industry worldwide. Our collaboration with Chace will amplify the W music experience for our Next Gen guests, plugging directly into the energy of the vibrant music scene in China with one of its brightest rising stars.”
#WMUSICSERIES will kick-off at the W Chengdu on December 1, 2020. The shiny new hotel is located in the city's future-forward Gaoxin district and has been fit out with a rooftop bar complete with a DJ stage. The tour will hit repeat for the next three months, when the programming continues at W Xi’an, W Suzhou, and ending at W Shanghai – The Bund.
