BIRDPARTY, Vera Ellen & Kaishandao to head on 16-stop China tour

BIRDPARTY, Vera Ellen and Kaishandao will be heading on a 16-stop tour around China this October, initiated by Kaishandao's independent touring label and promotion agency, Kiwese.

They’ll be joined by Ludus and Rizzo at a selection of China’s premier clubs, spaces, livehouses and record stores.

BIRDPARTY, hailing from New Zealand, is the unlikely merging of heavy metal and ambient electronic dance music. Known for their sample-driven textures and trippy vocals, the duo has carved out a niche in the percussive avant-garde scene, making them an exciting act to watch.

Critically acclaimed songwriter Vera Ellen will be joining the tour with her alternative yet soothing and thoughtful post-punk blend. It’s not music we often feature on this site, but it’s really caught our attention.

To tie the tour together, Kaishandao will be performing her always impressive lo-fi electronica, minimal, techno, ambient, garage and more. Her music released has been on our radar for a minute, and we’re excited to see what she’ll bring to her live performances.

The tour kicks off at System Shanghai on October 11 and concludes on October 31 at .TAG Chengdu. Take note of the stops below.
