Driving techno & open grooves from Biliguudei at The Mixmag Lab Mongolia

Mongolia turned out in force for The Mixmag Lab's debut in partnership with Kharkhorum Festival, staged at a yurt-style venue in central Ulaanbaatar.

The floor was filled in the hundreds across a night that opened with Anu Dol's ambient, underwater-leaning house, moved through CMT's euphoric set, and built further with Gonno's hybrid vinyl selection, shifting from house and electro into harder, infectious techno.

Biliguudei took the room twice, weaving through house, techno, and electro building on everything Gonno had left on the floor and swinging between tight, driving rhythm and looser, open stretches that let the room catch its breath before the next peak. He then returned for the closing, carrying it all the way to 4AM.

The crowd, many watching him return to the capital after several years away, stayed locked in through both sets. Visuals ran throughout, adding to the energy of the night. By lights on, the floor was still full and dancers were still sweating; signs of a night (very) well spent.
