Bazza Ranks & Yam Who? give 'The Cure' a groovy sonic overhaul
The 8-year-old track gets reintroduced with a fresh nu-disco flair via Midnight Riot Records
Bazza Ranks is set to drop a revamped version of his track from eight years ago, ‘The Cure’, via Midnight Riot Records.
Originally released on Deeptown Records under a different alias, the track has been reborn after the Hong Kong-based producer rediscovered the captivating vocals of Irish artist Elaine Dowling during a recent hard drive cleanup.
Collaborating with Midnight Riot label boss Yam Who?, the two have transformed ‘The Cure’ into a modern nu-disco gem.
2024’s version features live brass, bass, and keys, adding a fresh, vibrant energy that distinguishes it from its original form, with shimmering strings that weave in and out of the buoyant constellation of sounds.
