Bangkok’s Yadom Solidarity hosts first event to challenge artwashing & support Palestine
The October 26 event kicks off an ongoing series that unites the city’s creative community for a night of discussion, exchange & music
Yadom Solidarity will hold its first event on Sunday, October 26, at Gearbox (The Warehouse Talat Noi) in Bangkok.
The evening will bring together members of the city’s cultural scene for a night of discussion, exchange, and music, centred on ways to engage meaningfully with the Palestinian cause.
Based in Bangkok, Yadom Solidarity is a collective of music, art, and nightlife workers dedicated to building a culture of care. The group seeks to resist the forces that shape culture for profit and to create spaces for learning, collaboration, and collective growth.
“We feel it’s important to speak up against artwashing, which has been happening around the world. Our scene in Bangkok isn’t immune,” the collective wrote in an Instagram post, where they define artwashing as “the use of art and culture as a tool to distract from or legitimise negative actions by an individual, organisation, country, or government.”
Through its events, Yadom Solidarity aims to mobilise the community, encourage mutual learning, and inspire meaningful collective action.

Following the discussion will be a line-up of DJs taking over the decks: MJMA, Kikate, SHIZUO 静男静男, Sriracha Czaddy, Daddy Ronron, Pam Anantr, Isaac Aesili, TMI, Bunnyman.dogs, and Soup Snakes.
