Archival portal dedicated to SOPHIE's work launches online
The fan-led project compiles live sets, interviews, releases and much more
A new online portal archiving the work of late producer SOPHIE has been launched, named WHOLENEW.WORLD.
The non-exhaustive project comes from a community of fans, who have compiled live sets, releases, interviews, photoshoots and more from SOPHIE’s decade-long music career.
WHOLENEW.WORLD is described as a “work in progress” and a “preservation project”, aimed at “comprehensively documenting the work of the legendary late artist”.

“This site will host an extensive archive of her live sets, links to all of her official releases and points of purchase, information about her discography (both released and unreleased), as well as photoshoots and interviews,” reads the site’s about section.
While aiming to provide a thorough archive, those behind the project say they will not upload leaked material, though information on such work will be shared in an attempt to “quell the rampant misinformation that exists” around some of her material.
“WHOLENEW.WORLD is NOT affiliated in any way with SOPHIE’s estate, team, nor her former record labels,” they assert. “This is simply a fan project made to honour and preserve her legacy.”

All material shared through the archive portal will be free to access, and no revenue will be generated from the project, they explain.
WHOLENEW.WORLD is now searching for any SOPHIE material like photos, information about “lost SoundCloud songs”, or any other interesting contributions to the project.
Those who have attended a SOPHIE performance, worked with or represented SOPHIE, and those who have anything else to contribute can email [email protected].
