Previously unheard SOPHIE music to be released to mark 10 years of 'PRODUCT'
Created during the late-electronic pioneer's 'PRODUCT' era, 'OOH'/'GET HIGHER' will be available to stream from midnight
Previously unheard music from SOPHIE is set to be released to mark 10 years of her compilation album 'PRODUCT'.
Two tracks will appear on streaming platforms for the first time, 'OOH' and 'GET HIGHER'. They're said to be created by the late-electronic pioneer during the same time as the 'PRODUCT'-era, and will land on streaming platforms from 12:AM tomorrow (June 18), joining the record's iconic singles such as 'BIPP', 'HARD', 'LEMONADE' and 'VYZEE'.

'OOH' had previously been described by SOPHIE as a 'hi tech club dance pop' and initially had been called 'MAKE RESPECT'; the track's vocal, recorded by former- UK X Factor contestant Jaide Green — who had been invited to a session by SOPHIE after watching the singer perform live with Olly Murs on the reality tv show in 2009.
“'OOH' stood out to me, it was fun, playful, and creative," says Green. "It was clear the lyrics were very significant to Sophie, however it didn’t feel like your usual heartbreak song, it was uptempo and happy. Even still, there was a strength behind the words. I thought it was a perfect fit, pure genius.”
Recorded in 2013, 'GET HIGHER' had previously only been released in Japan as bonus track on 'PRODUCTS''s CD edition; featuring vocals from Cassie Davis and Sean Mullins, the track pairs Atlanta trap motifs and hyperpop, with searing, clunky bass that would eventually find its way into the Charli xcx-featuring 'Vroom Vroom' years later.

To celebrate a decade since the highly-influential record was released, 'PRODUCT' will also be available to buy as a limited edition re-release package in both CD and vinyl formats on July 11; the deluxe edition will include posters of the iconic "slides" single artwork.
