Parisian scene stalwart Wolf Story lands in Asia

Emeric Dally aka Wolf Story boasts a rich legacy that spans over two decades in the underground scene. Based in Paris, his sonic journey is a testament to the evolution of house and techno, marked by a distinct fusion of influences from the likes of French luminaries Popof and Laurent Garnier.

The roots of Wolf Story's musical odyssey trace back to the 90s when he, known by his moniker Rico, shared the decks and spun vinyl with Popof — an experience that laid the foundation for his artistic trajectory. This particular era served as a crucial influence on his art, shaping not only his sonic repertoire but also the path he would embark upon.

Having spent a transformative decade in Miami, he cultivated a distinct sound that seamlessly blends house, techno, and indie dance. While there, Wolf Story commanded a weekly residency in Fort Lauderdale.

Another pivotal chapter in the artist’s career unfolded as he assumed the role of a resident DJ at Paris’ legendary Rex Club. This residency not only provided a platform for him to refine his craft but also served as a nexus for garnering a devoted fanbase.

Having had his productions supported by top names and role models such as Roger Sanchez, FNX Omar, Blondish, Hardwell, Satoshi Tomiie, Bob Sinclar and Laurent Garnier, we can only expect Wolf Story's fanbase to grow within the coming years.

Beyond his individual success as a sought-after beat purveyor, Wolf Story is also known for being the driving force behind the innovative collective, Au Fil Du Son.

Demonstrating his commitment to pushing the boundaries of the electronic music landscape, he recently curated a compelling event during the Techno Parade in Paris, drawing a crowd of over 1000 ravers.

His enduring influence is a testament to his ability to navigate the currents of electronic music, resonating with discerned listeners who appreciate the depth and evolution of the genre. Undoubtedly, this also shows in his productions, the latest being a groovy, melodic techno cut titled ‘Human Life’, which features the vocals of Jinadu — co-writer and featured artist on Black Coffee’s Grammy-winning LP, ‘Subconsciously’.
