ZHU teams up with Malaysian songstress YUNA for his latest single
The dance floor track drops ahead of his 3rd album
Following up on a string of successful singles over the last year, including ‘Came for the Low’, Risky Business’ and ‘Follow’ with Kito and Jeremith, Chinese-American Dj and producer ZHU drops his latest tune for the dance floor, ‘Sky is Crying’ together with Malaysian YUNA.
The single comes ahead of his forthcoming third album ‘Dreamland 2021’ — an obvious ode to the surreality we’ve been dealing with this year.
Written together with saxophonist Aaron Leibowit, ZHU spoke from behind the scenes of the production, saying, “I’m excited to share this next body of work with everyone as the world starts to move once again.”
The single comes equipped with a though-provoking video that emphasises the current pandemic’s effect on the live music experience. Delivered i a black and white animation, the clip was directed by Birdy Ben and produced by ELMØ for EL MOTION LAB, a Paris-based team that has collaborated with ZHU on previous projects.
